Could someone from Central Club 2277 be the next World Champion of Public Speaking?

Each year, the Toastmasters International Convention culminates in the final round of the International Speech Contest, where the World Champion of Public Speaking is chosen. In this exciting event, 10 contestants from all over the world deliver 5- to 7-minute speeches that are evaluated by a panel of experienced Toastmasters. After a year of competing in club, area, district, and semifinal competitions, these contestants have advanced for the chance to win this prestigious accolade.

Central Toastmasters Club 2277 International Speech Contest takes place every spring.  There will also be a Humorous Speech Contest – where speakers compete in amusing the audience with a funny speech.

The first competition International Speech Contest for Central Club 2277 will be held on March 16.  The speeches will be 5-7 minutes long, and the subjects will be of the speaker’s choosing.

The Club 2277 winner will advance on to the Area 52 contest and will compete against the winners from the other 6 clubs (between March 27 to April 9, 2022) The winner from the Area 52 contest will go on to compete in the Division E contest, (29 clubs). The winners in the Division contest go on to compete for the District 31 title. There are 211 clubs in District 31, and many great speakers. The District International Speech Contest will be held on May 8th, at the District 31 Spring Conference. The Humorous Speech Contest will take place on Friday evening, the 7th, and will start the conference off.
